How to Fix Stuck Buttons

The keyboard style white push buttons used by FST Timers and FST Wall Switches may occasionally need to be adjusted due to normal wear.

If the button on the FST Wall Switch is stuck symptoms may be the Timer starts counting down as soon as time is set or the Timer automatically goes to clean mode after a session if finished.

The FST Timers check to see if any of the buttons on the front panel are stuck during its power on self test (POST). If a problem is found it will display the following message.

Button stuck message display by FST 600 Timer (Set button on station 2 is stuck)

    • Station 1 displays b.S. which stands for button Stuck
    • Station 3 displays S.t. which stands for Station
    • Station 4 displays the actual station number
    • Station 6 displays which button is stuck
      • SE for the Set (top) button
      • Up for the Up (middle) button
      • dn for the Down (bottom) button

After determining which button is stuck:

Carefully lift up the white cap on the button using a small screw driver or a unfolded paper clip. Under the cap there is a spring which is loose and a metal contact which is attached. Stretch the spring out a little and lift the metal contact up a tiny bit. Replace the spring then snap the cap back on to the button.

Note:  If a button gets stuck while the Timer is on it will not display b.S. on station one until after the Timer is switched off then on. The Timer may act erratically when pushing buttons or trying to reset the bed for cleaning.
