Bar Code Setup for Inventory, Packages, and Services.

Back to index

SunEase supports most bar code readers. FST Company sells both a CCD and a Laser model.

The main difference between the two models is: CCD models have to be held within 1" of the bar code; and Laser models can be held several inches away. Also Laser models typically come with a stand for hands free operation.

The easiest type to install share the keyboard port on your computer--so you just plug it in and its ready to go.

  • Go to My Computer
  • Select the C: drive
  • Select the Windows folder
  • Select the Fonts folder
  • In the list double click Code39SlimTT-Regular or C39Slim,
this will display this font on the screen, click Done. You should also do the same for HandelGotDBol or HandGotB.
  • Restart SunEase 2000 and bar codes will be displayed and printed correctly. Some users have had to restart their computer for this change to take effect.
