Receipt Printer and
Cash Drawer Setup

 

SunEase 2000 supports most receipt printers and cash drawers. SunEase 2000 uses the printing capabilities provided by the Windows operating system. So as long as you have the correct printer driver setup under Windows the printer should work.

Receipt printer drivers are not included with Windows. However, FST includes some drivers on our web site and the SunEase CD-ROM.

Windows Printer Driver Setup

• Close SunEase 2000
• Go to Start then Settings then Printers
• Select the Add Printer icon
• Select Next
• Select Local printer then Next
• Select Have Disk
• At Copy manufacturer's files from field:
  • Insert the SunEase 2000 CD-ROM
  • Select Browse
  • Change the Drive to your CD-ROM drive
  • Select the Drivers folder
  • Select your printer model, i.e.. Citizen
  • Select OK
  • The drive and folder name, i.e.. d:\Drivers\Citizen, will be filled in select OK
    -- OR --
  • If you downloaded the drivers, type in or use the Browse button to fill in the drive and folder name where the files were unzipped.
• Select your receipt printer, i.e.. CBM Receipt Printer (Text Only), from the list then select Next
• From Available ports select the correct port, usually LPT1: then select Next
• Do not change the Printer name
• Do not make your receipt printer the Default printer
• Select Next then Finish

For these steps you will need the correct drivers for your printer and you may also need your Windows installation files.

SunEase 2000 Setup

• Startup SunEase 2000
• Go to Preferences
• Select the Receipts tab page
• Select your receipt printer from the drop down box,
  i.e.. CBM Receipt Printer (Text Only)
• Select the Load Defaults button. This feature will load the margin settings, fonts and cash drawer information for printers that have been tested by our development team.
