If your salon operates nonstop all day long or you simply want to use the computer in the back office to view reports—SunEase 2000 can handle it.

SunEase 2000 has been designed with the capabilities required to run over a local area network (LAN). It supports up to 35 computers in your salon all sharing the same clients, sales history, etc.

When SunEase 2000 is being used to control your tanning equipment clients can be tanned from any computer. Unlike some other salon programs you are not required to purchase additional managers or timers.

There are no additional charges to run SunEase 2000 over a LAN. However, it is your responsibility to setup and maintain the network.

1) Server Setup

The server is the main computer. If you are using a remote timer it will be connected to this computer.

Setup the C: drive so it can be shared with full access. Any printers (including cash drawers) attached to this computer can also be setup to be shared.

Install SunEase 2000 normally. Under Preferences make sure the Terminal is 1. The Terminal setting is used to identify the computer where each transaction is made. Remote timers must be connected to Terminal 1.

At the beginning of each day start SunEase 2000 on the server first. When the new day procedures are completed start the program on any workstations.

The date and time

2) Workstation Setup

Workstations are any computers connected to the server.

Map a drive letter to the server's C: drive. The mapped drive letter is typically N for network or S for SunEase.

Setup any printers that are shared with the server.

Make sure the date and time is the same as the server.

Update the Folders tab so the the Client Pictures, Data Files and Archived History folders refer to the mapped drive letter.

3) Installing Future SunEase Updates

Backup the SunEase folder on the Server then install any updates to the Server

On the Workstation(s) under Preferences update the Folders tab so the Client Pictures, Data Files and Archived History folder refer back to the local (C:) drive.
