1)
Connect the cable from the manager to the computer
The
cable required is a standard serial cable available
at most computer stores.

2)
Determine which serial port the manager is using
Install
and run the Adnet
2000 program which is available from Applied
Digital. This program is used to determine the serial
port the tmax manager is connected to and to verify
the timer, serial cable and computer are working
correctly.
- Note
the Serial Port the manager is using
- Close
the Adnet 2000 program
Once
you determine everything is talking correctly this
program is no longer used.

Setup the Tanning Bed Monitor

Select the Tanning Bed Monitor
-
Select the Options button
-
Change the Refresh Rate to 30 seconds or more
-
Save the changes

4)
Tell SunEase a timer is connected
-
Pause the Tanning Bed Monitor
-
Close any open windows in SunEase 2k
-
Select File then Preferences
-
Select the Client/Tanning tab
-
Check Activate Remote Timer Features
- It
will also display (tmax support)
If it does not, close SunEase and the Tanning
Bed Monitor;
Run setup on the SunEase 2k CD-ROM;
select just tmax support, select Yes if asked
to overwrite any files;
If you do not have the SunEase 2k CD-ROM, download
the tmax support files from our web
site.

Close the Preferences window

Select Utilities then Purge Data Files then Timer
Commands
-
Select the Start button
-
Select the Close button when it finishes

5)
Setup each tanning bed to use the timer
-
Pause the Tanning Bed Monitor
-
Close any open windows in SunEase 2k
-
Select File then Tanning Beds
-
Highlight the first bed in the list
-
Select View then Form
-
Select the General tab
-
Update the Undress, Maximum and Normal times
as needed
-
Select the Timer Setup tab
-
Update the Station Number (the position on the
timer this bed will control)
-
Update the Serial Port (see step 2), this number
must be the same for each bed connected to the
timer
-
For Connected to an FST 1000?, remove any check
marks.

The Program Timer feature is only available
with FST Timers.
-
Move to the next tanning bed and repeat these steps.
Note:
SunEase sets up 8 beds when it is first installed.
Use the Insert icon on the tool bar to setup additional
beds. Use the Delete icon to make any beds
you do not need inactive.
Note:
SunEase
uses the serial port and undress time setup under
bed #1 for all beds when talking to the tmax.
