| Detailed
Instructions:
Get
the pictures into the computer.
How
you do this is up to you. With today's technology
there are several choices available to you including
digital cameras, scanners and web or pc cameras.
The most flexible device is a digital camera, they
are similar to 35 mm cameras and they are portable
so you can use it for other things. Web or PC Cameras
are easy to work with and usually come with a snap
shot program to quickly take pictures.
|
Determine
the best format and size for your pictures.
The
software program that comes your camera or the camera
itself may have settings like resolution or quality
and the image type or format which will determine how
the pictures will be saved to your computer's hard
drive.
The
size of image files can be very large depending on
these settings. They can use up hard drive space
very quickly so you should experiment with your camera
to determine the best quality for the file size.
The
recommended image type is JPG. This is a common
image format used on the world wide web. It
can save high quality images in fairly small files.
SunEase
2000 supports most popular image types including:
|
BMP - OS/2 or Windows Bitmap
JPG - JPEG - JFIF Compliant
PCX - Zsoft Paintbrush
TGA - Truevision Targa
|
TIF - Tagged Image File Format
PNG - Portable Network Graphics
PCT - Macintosh PICT
DIB - OS/2 or Windows DIB
|
The
width and height of your pictures doesn't really matter.
If you can change these settings, 320 x 240 are good
settings. When SunEase displays the picture
it will be scaled to a common width and height, while
maintaining the aspect ratio. By doing this
all of your pictures will appear the same size on
the screen.
There
is a sample picture in the SunEase\Pictures\ folder
name cleo.jpg The actual width and height is
about 800 x 800, the file size is about 180 KB.
It was taken with a digital camera with a medium resolution.

View
the pictures in SunEase.
Transfer
or save the pictures from your camera to the Client
Pictures Folder.
Name
the image files with the client number assigned by
SunEase. This number can be found in the upper
left hand corner of the Tanning and Sales window.
As
each client is located under Tanning and Sales, SunEase
will display the picture -- if one is found.
For
example, when client #100 is located, SunEase will
look in the Client Pictures Folder for a file named
100.jpg, when client #101 is located, it will look
for 101.jpg, etc.
|
Miscellaneous
When
you select the Modify button on the Tanning and Sales
window, you will see a field on the More Info tab
with a camera button next to it. This field
can be used to tell SunEase to display a different
picture file.
For
example John Smith (client #200) brings in his own
picture file (named johnsmith.bmp)
Copy
the file to your hard drive, usually the Client
Pictures Folder, on the More Info tab click camera
button and locate the file johnsmith.bmp
The
next time this client is located, SunEase will know
to show the file johnsmith.bmp rather than 200.jpg
